Wednesday November the 13th: I went
to Paris to see Mariah in front of the hotel George V and at the exit of
the Hit Machine studios. But I'll let the pleasure to the French
Fan Club and the French fans to write their reports.
Thursday November the 14th: Direction
London... I knew that Mariah would gonna be there to make an appearance
in the TV show "Children In Need". As I didn't have any informations
about the hours Mariah would gonna be there, I left Thursday in order to
be there Friday very early in the morning.
Friday November the 15th: A lot
of phone calls... At around 11h00am, I meet Ashes who still doesn't
know either around what time Mariah will arrive, not even at which hotel.
He receives late instructions and must go urgently in a cybercafé
in order to arrange several details... It could be possible that
we could be able to meet Mariah to tell her about the rose named after
her and to give her the certificate of authenticity... Ashes has
many work to manage all the things in last minute. I become stressed...
We decide to meet in front of the Claridges (now, we know where Mariah
will arrive) at around 1h30pm. From phone calls to phone calls, we
are able to follow where Mariah is at the moment. At this moment,
Ashes tries to call a lot of fans. Unfortunately the British firemen
are on strike, several subway stations are closed for security reason,
so, there's a lot of traffic. Mariah arrives at the hotel
very late. The English fans are very disciplined and not hysterical
at all. No pushing, no screaming. Mariah appreciates.
She smiles, sign cds and photos. And then the great moment is there...
Mariah is very surprised and is speachless when she knows that a rose was
named after her and that fans from several countries (including Belgium)
contributed to offer her this delicate proof of love and respect.
Everything else belongs only to me, in my head,
in my heart. There are things which I can't share because I can't
find the words. These moments are too emotional.
Thank you Mariah for these moments of happiness.
Thank you also to all the English fans who were there, they welcomed me
with so much kindness. I will not forget you.
