Carey, who won acclaim for her work in Precious, was set to appear in the adaptation of Ntozake Shange's 1975 play For Colored Girls Who Have Considered Suicide When the Rainbow Is Enuf. Filming was set to start next month. 

But on Tuesday Carey abruptly withdrew from the project. 

"I'm not at liberty to discuss her personal life at this time," Carey's spokeswoman Cindi Berger says, declining to give a reason for Carey's withdrawal.

It was known since day 1 (May 12), but there was no reason to post it (I knew a lot of fans would be bitching like for the Tunis concerts ), now it's in the translation of the Egyptian article (see the scans below).

We didn't have internet and it took us some time to put a face on that voice.  Mariah is part of our life since 20 years, we laughed with her, we cried with her, most of us love her not only as an artist but also for the person she is.  She's forever part of us.  Wow, I feel suddenly a lil' "old".......

For younger fans (less than 25 years old) who were too young (or not born), thanks for being part of the "lamb" family.  You're part of the Mariah fan family, don't ever let older fans laugh at you, we all love her!  Let's support all together the artist who gives us so much happiness.

Cannon revealed on 'The Rachael Ray Show' that his wife rules the kitchen, and that he wasn't even allowed to help prepare dinner for last Thanksgiving.

"I was allowed in to watch her, to take that picture," Cannon said, showing a photo of himself and an apron-wearing Carey in front of a gigantic Thanksgiving turkey. "And then I was kicked out after that."

Wow, I should have known when I posted that info, many fans wouldn't be happy, I didn't think it was worst of medias speculating on fertility treatments (that I didn't even post out of respect for Mariah), I didn't think it was worse than some of Mariah's own fans trashing her for her weight, outfits, hairdo, etc....
If you read correctly, Mariah and Janet didn't had a problem, it was the mix up which caused a problem and Mariah cursing...  so what, she's only human!

Hip-hop fans probably know SKG  for her work on 2Pac's "Until The End of Time" whith the single "Let em Have it". 

Anyway, I was in contact with SKG last night:
"Basically Mariah Carey had called for a phone interview, at this time Mariah and Janet were going through a competitive stage with both of their albums dropping around the same time. It’s crazy, I mean you see the glitz and glamour but not the behind the scenes not when the microphones are turned off."

The So So Def CEO, who had a heavy hand in 2005’s best-selling album of the year, The Emancipation of Mimi, said he is in the early stages of recording the pop diva’s next effort. He is hoping to produce the majority of the project and aims to have a single out this year.

“We started last week and we don’t take long when we get in, so hopefully a single before the end of the year,” he told Rap-Up.com. Bryan-Michael Cox and Johnta Austin are also involved with Mimi’s new music.

In addition, Mariah is reportedly working on a Christmas album, for which she recently shot the packaging with famed photographer David LaChapelle.

Vibe: You seem unusually self-effacing about all of this
JD: Well, I’ve gotten past the whole, “JD doesn’t get the respect he deserves” thing. If niggas don’t pay attention to what I’ve done and how long I’ve been doing it, they will someday. But it’s kind of weird because Billboard named Mariah Carey’s “We Belong Together,” which I produced, as Song Of The Decade this year. That’s an accomplishment that no other producer had on the charts. But then Billboard names the Neptunes producers of the year? The accolades don’t even go with each other anymore. That’s why I never get my hopes up. I’m just happy to still be in the game.

Vibe: There was some talk that you were going to executive produce Usher’s latest album Raymond v. Raymond. Why didn’t it happen?
JD: Well, I didn’t really want to be executive producer of Usher’s projects after Confession. Me as a producer, it’s kind of hard for me to go back into people’s projects when I gave you your biggest album ever…you sold more records than any other artist in this decade based on that album and now I have to ask you am I the executive producer of your next album? That seems disrespectful to me. Obviously, I’m looking at something different than everyone is looking at it whether it’s the label, the artist, management… whoever it is. I’ve had this same conversation with L.A. Reid, because I’m doing Mariah Carey’s album right now. And on her last album, I didn’t have one song on there. But I did Emancipation of Mimi and she sold more records than she sold in the last five years. What part of the game makes y’all not call me? But I’m not going to keep sticking my neck out. But I don’t feel like I’m supposed to ask to produce anymore. People are supposed to come to me and tell me that I’m the executive producer. That’s why I get more kicks working with younger artists.

Vibe: How is Janet holding up?
JD: She’s cool. She has a lot of work going on that’s keeping her in the right direction. The movie came out, which is the biggest Tyler Perry movie he has had thus far. It looks like her star power as an actress is still there. And she’s about to do the other movie (For Colored Girls Who Have Considered Suicide When the Rainbow Is Enuf) with Mariah, Kerry Washington, Whoopi Goldberg and few others. They will be shooting that in June.

Turns out, her husband Nick Cannon's grandfather gave it his best shot. 

"When some good old-school music came on, he was dancing up on the floor with one of Mariah's dancers," Cannon said on his 92.3 WXRM-FM radio show "Rollin with Nick Cannon" Monday morning. "My grandmother was all upset and ready to go home because my 75-year-old grandfather was dropping it like it was hot with some youngster." 

Why the big dance party? Cannon, 29, and Carey, 40, renewed their vows at their Beverly Hills home Friday night in front of 100 guests.

"My grandparents were crying because they didn't get a chance to come to the first or second one," said Cannon, "[so] a lot of family showed up." 

Famous friends like Brett Ratner, Penny Marshall and photographer David LaChapelle also came to support the couple. And they brought gifts. Cannon was especially touched by LaChapelle's present: a dramatic portrait of Michael Jackson, taken before his death, dressed as an angel. 

Said Cannon: "That meant a lot because I am a huge Michael Jackson fan. I always say Mike is the reason I am an entertainer." 

"That gift was one of my favorite wedding gifts this weekend," he continued, "but I have to say my ultimate favorite was my wife accompanying me to the [Floyd Mayweather-Shane Mosley] fight in Las Vegas."
