Kelly at Friday's concert, here's other news: Feud Leaves One Performer Onstage and Other Barred From the Tour The Best of Both Worlds tour, starring the R & B singer R. Kelly and the rapper Jay-Z, came to a crashing end yesterday afternoon, one day after a member of Jay-Z's entourage was said to have attacked Mr. Kelly with pepper spray. The singer was dumped from the show yesterday after Jay-Z said he would not share the stage with him. "That situation was not salvageable, and now we're moving forward," said Jeff Sharp, the tour's promoter. There was no word yet on whether Jay-Z would complete the 17 remaining tour dates on his own. "By Tuesday, there will be a statement regarding the balance of the tour," said Mr. Sharp. Mr. Kelly abruptly left the show at Madison Square Garden on Friday evening, claiming two members of the audience were waving guns at him. No guns were found. Allan Mayer, a spokesman for Mr. Kelly, said the singer had received death threats in recent weeks. "That's why he decided to leave, this didn't just come out of nowhere." Nevertheless, it was the breaking point for Jay-Z in what has been a rocky tour from its start four weeks ago. In a preconcert interview yesterday afternoon, Jay-Z called Mr. Kelly unreliable. "Can you perform with someone who might leave you onstage at any given moment?" Mr. Kelly had still hoped to finish the tour. In a statement issued yesterday, he said: "The fans deserve better than this. I'd like the show to go on. It's really disappointing that Jay-Z and the promoter don't." A refund has been offered to those who were interested in seeing Mr. Kelly. Lawyers for the singer are filing a criminal complaint against his assailant, said Mr. Mayer, and are also considering legal action over the decision to boot Mr. Kelly. Last night at the Garden, Jay-Z performed to a sold-out crowd, rounding up industry friends to take Mr. Kelly's place, including P. Diddy, Mary J. Blige, Mariah Carey, Busta Rhymes, Method Man and Red Man. "I want you to know that one monkey don't stop the show," Jay-Z told the cheering crowd. On Friday, the rapper had only minutes to cobble together a show, inviting the likes of Ms. Blige, Ja Rule, T. I. and the R & B singer Usher to join him onstage after Mr. Kelly bolted. "I'm happy things worked out," Jay-Z said. "It could have ended a number of ways. There could have been a riot. People might have been scared and started trampling each other when he said that stuff about a gun. "That was really like screaming fire in a movie theater." Just last week, Mr. Kelly, unhappy with the lighting crew, stormed off the stage at a show in St. Louis. He spent the rest of the evening hanging out at a local McDonald's. Several tour dates have been canceled. "He just keeps leaving us out there," said Jay-Z. "Everyone's sick of it." Shortly after Friday's concert, Jay-Z went on the radio and lambasted his partner for being unprofessional. As of yesterday, the two artists had not spoken. "What's he going to tell me," Jay-Z asked, "another excuse?" Mr. Kelly's decision to cut the show short on Friday was not well received by audience members, some of them having paid more than $100 for a ticket. "I went in the bathroom and cried," said Dee Dee Duncan, a single mother of two from Harlem and an R. Kelly fan. "I worked hard for that $102." Natalie Hodgson, who attended last night's show, said she did not miss Mr. Kelly. "I'm glad he didn't come," she said. "I got a lot more for my money this way." Mariah Carey is planning to star in another movie - undeterred by her 2001 all-round flop Glitter. The Honey star, whose '80s-themed movie was panned by critics and avoided by fans, is planning to team up with fellow singers Patti LaBelle, Missy Elliot, Alicia Keys and Macy Gray, as well as comedienne Mo'nique for independent film Ladie's' Night. The story will follow a group of Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, women who spend the night on the town discussing sex, weight, careers and love. The low-budget movie, a project of Monster's Ball producer Lee Daniels, has also attracted interest from Beyonce Knowles, who's inquired about participating. After weeks of bulleted, upward movement "U Make Me Wanna" seems to have hit a stumbling block. It does reach a new peak on the R&B/Hip-Hop Singles & Tracks chart (#40) but it does so without a bullet. It holds its #8 position on the Bubbling Under Hot 100 Singles chart. However on the R&B airplay chart it retains its bullet with a jump to #39. Her last rap collaboration, with Busta Rhymes, resulting in one of the r’n’b anthems of last summer, I Know What You Want. No doubt Mariah Carey is hoping for a similarly positive reaction to her guest appearance with New Yorker Jadakiss on the smoochy slow jam U Make Me Wanna. Just to remove any doubt, Mariah and Jadakiss this week unveiled a suitably sexy video to accompany the track, which is already making an impact on the US Billboard Rnb chart on airplay alone. Filmed in LA’s Prey Club it features Ms Carey in a suitably eye catching little black dress sure to get pulses everywhere racing. The track, taken from Jadakiss’ no.1 US album should be following his previous smash hits Kiss Of Death and Why? into charts worldwide shortly, and serves as a taster of Mariah’s new studio project, which is apparently set for release early next year. Mariah has been working on the project, which includes collaborations with the likes of Damizza, Twista, Nelly and Kanye West, since completing her critically acclaimed Charmbracelet Tour earlier this year. What’s more it seems we’ll be seeing rather a lot of Mariah next year. Manager Benny Medina, the man who took Jennifer Lopez from ghetto to stardom, recently talked of his excitement about the forthcoming album, which he declared will "hit all the marks," and also revealed that Mariah is currently looking at movie scripts, and, demonstrating her determination to build on the kudos she gained for her performance in mobster drama Wisegirls, is currently taking acting lessons. The singer and the actor take part in a campaign in the United States, to get the young people of the country to vote in the presidential elections on November the 2nd. The campaign has been launched by Puff Daddy, who asked the support of Carey and DiCaprio, because they are stars admired by a lot of young people. Roger Friedman wrote an article today about the lip-synching of Ashlee Simpson at "Saturday Night Live". He credits most of the young artists as pure creations and karaoke acts. But, here's what he wrote: "Let's put it this way: In the last five years, though they've often been present, I've never heard Britney Spears or Jennifer Lopez even so much as hum out loud without a full stage set-up, dancers swirling about and lots of back-up singers. But I have been lucky enough to see Whitney Houston, Mariah Carey, Aretha Franklin, Gladys Knight, Alicia Keys, Julia Fordham, Joss Stone, Carla Thomas, Ann Peebles, Natalie Cole, Mary Wilson, Cher, Cyndi Lauper, Valerie Simpson of Ashford and Simpson fame (no relation to Jessica and Ashlee) and many others rise to the occasion without a tape or a computer disk in sight. Atlanta Lambs Fall Fest

Roc-A-Fella news Noreaga’s latest album One Fan a Day will land in stores December 21, just in time for the Christmas holiday. Noreaga, one half of the Queens duo Capone N Noreaga (CNN) and newly signed Roc-A-Fella artist, is enjoying the success of the hit single "Oye Mi Canto,” featuring Nina Sky, Daddy Yankee, GemStar and Big Mato. Noreaga said he discovered the new sound by chance, at an all-Spanish club in New York. "I discovered this music called Reggaeton that actually represented the young, inner-city Latino,” Nore revealed. “It's not Merengue, it's not Salsa, you can be sexy and still be [and] gangsta with it. I figured I saw all my Latinos doing it, and I'm Latino as well, so I'm gonna represent for Reggaeton.” The Rap/Reggaeton hybrid has been embraced by pop radio and proof can be measured by the impact the single has had at radio. It has enjoyed thousands of spins nationwide and is #8 on Billboard's Rap singles chart and #16 on the Hot 100 singles chart. While the single has yet to impact that Latin singles chart, Nore remained optimistic about the new sound. "Reggaeton is going to be around for a long time,” Nore predicted. “It's gonna be as big as dancehall is, for sure. And when Reggaeton becomes bilingual, that's when it will be as big as Hip-Hop is. It is patently unfair that The Hilltop cloaks its support for Eminem's "expression" in Michael Jackson's status as a public figure, ignoring Eminem's same status. Presumably, if one public figure can criticize another, the latter can rightly recriminate. How can this label conveniently work so unilaterally? Also worth noting is that Jackson is not yet a "public" criminal. Exactly what is Eminem trying to express, defamation? I am a strong artistic expression advocate, but do not quite subscribe to the apparent notion that suggesting unproven criminality on film, as well as using evidentiary imagery from a pending case, merits a valid form. The hypocrisy therein displayed casts doubt on all Eminem's hard-core gangster beefs with thugs like Mariah Carey, Britney Spears, Will Smith, Moby, Justin Timberlake, N' Sync, Christina Aguilera and those fearsome Backstreet Boys (I suppose it would be unwise to suspect that Suge Knight be next). If Eminem is so resistant to his own criticism, yet so willing to unleash it on others, perhaps artistic expression is not his motive. Perhaps it's just a massive, desperate gimmick to rivet public attention and sell records, much like a series of cartoonish songs and attendant videos that suit playing dress-up and donning drag without fail. Today, here are some more infos. Jay-Z drink challenges Dash The long and profitable partnership between Jay-Z and Damon Dash is about to crash and burn. When it was announced this past summer that Jay-Z was ending his involvement in Roc-A-Fella Records and the Rocawear clothing line, there were whispers of a strained relationship. Now Jay-Z is about to take the next step by going into business on his own with a brand of booze to compete against Dash's Armandale vodka. "Jay is about to launch his own line of cognac with Grey Goose," said our source. "This seems innocuous, but it is his first real venture without Damon. He does not want Damon to be a part of it." Jay-Z's cognac will have some competition from Roc-A-Fella rapper Cam'ron, who told Women's Wear Daily he's also launching a cognac: "It's called Sizzurp. You know, like, syrup with an izzurp." It is not known whether Dash is partners with Cam'ron in the hip-hop hooch. The relationship between Jay-Z and Dash will be strained further in the next "seven to 10 days," music industry sources say, when Jay-Z is named president of Def Jam — which effectively will make him Dash's boss. "This is going to be an issue," the source said. "Damon and Jay were always partners — equals. Now, Jay has the final say." Jay-Z is apparently taking center stage because "he is tired of Damon piggybacking off of him. Damon used his name and his talent to become famous." Indeed, another inside source says that when Roc-A-Fella first started, Dash hired a personal publicist with the directive: "Make me famous." Dash would attend events and make sure he was in every photo with Jay-Z. While Jay-Z was "very patient for a long time," one source said, "he has lost his patience now. He wants to let go." Since the two have split, Dash tried but failed to launch Victoria "Posh Spice" Beckham in her comeback bid. The album barely made the charts in England and was non-existent on our shores. Dash's rep, Amanda Silverman, challenged the idea that Dash will be working for Jay-Z. "Def Jam and Roc have a 50/50 joint venture. No one will be anyone's boss," she said. As for their deteriorating relationship? "They started a business together and they hope each other's deals go really well. There is no animosity." | Finally, Mariah recognized as a pioneer
Five or ten years ago it was a rarity for an R&B singer to feature a hip-hop artist on a single--especially when the single was not a remix. Mariah Carey has to be given a lot of credit for merging the R&B and Hip-Hop genres. Mariah set off her 1995 single "Fantasy" by putting ODB on the track. Mariah went on to feature artists such as Jay-Z, P. Diddy, and Mase on singles. Years later, merging hip-hop and R&B is commonplace and some of the artist out of the Dirty South are calling their new sound Crunk nB. Usher's "Yeah" is considered the first Crunk N'B single and Ciara's "Goodies" is considered the first female Crunk N B single. Nivea and Ciara are both back with new singles that feature hip-hop/rap artists. Usher had a ton of fun at his 1920s-theme birthday party Sunday night - unlike some record-industry execs. As a 16-piece band played, the 26-year-old R&B star could be found on the Rainbow Room dance floor, where he, Sean (P. Diddy) Combs, Jay-Z and Jermaine Dupri (looking like successful bootleggers) surrounded their "moll," Mariah Carey, as she did some flapper moves. Some Josephine Baker-style dancers with pasties on their chests and bananas on their hips were also there to keep the joint jumping. Savion Glover tap-danced. Patti LaBelle sang "Happy Birthday." And Usher, sporting his new $40,000 Audemars Piguet watch, always seemed to have a glass full of Moet Nectar Rosé. Naomi Campbell's NC Connect organized the retro evening. Despite some problems with seating, our spies say Usher showed his gratitude to the supermodel by buying her a big ring at Fred Leighton. But, knocking down rumors of romance, a witness says: "They didn't seem to be a couple." Also there were Denzel Washington, Donald Trump and Melania Knauss, Steve Stoute and Penny Marshall. Insiders say Warner Music chairman Lyor Cohen was disinvited at the last minute. That might have had something to do with co-host L.A. Reid, who replaced Cohen as chairman of Island Def Jam. (The other co-hosts were BMG North America CEO Clive Davis and Zomba Records chairman Barry Weiss.) According to a local newspaper in Japan, there was a big ad saying "Mariah Carey Japan Tour 2005- Spring 2005 show in Tokushima determined! Details will be soon announced!". Under that, it said "it was supposed to be held on December 25th at Asti Tokushima but it has been postponed to next spring according to Mariah's convenience". They basicly informed viewers about the new song, and showed a sort videoclip of the U Make Me Wanna video. Mariah was in sitting in the middle of a big group of people, singing. She had the black dress that we saw her wear at the nightclub, most likely where it was shot. Then they also had an interview with Benny, and let me tell you it was a great piece. He was telling everyone how Mariah is a living star, that she's been working on her new album and also that she has been reading scripts and even taking acting lessons. Although he didn't reveal much, Benny did an excellent job, giving Mariah a very positive spin. Then the reporter from Extra said that Mariah is getting ready to star in her own sitcom, and that they will surely give us more updates when more news about it is available. | Where's 'U Make Me Wanna' this week in the
US?
The answer is that it is #54 on the R&B/Hip-Hop Singles & Tracks chart and one notch higher on the corresponding R&B airplay chart. It has now surpassed Mariah's previous R&B entry, "What Would You Do". So what will it take for this song to make the Hot 100? Well as of now the song is only getting R&B airplay and not enough to even bubble under the Hot 100. It could begin to bubble under next week. Unlike previous weeks though this isn't the only Mariah single charting. As you might have guessed by now Mariah's other appearance is once again from "Through the Rain" which reenters the Hot Dance Singles Sales chart at #24 in its 70th week. Rapper N.O.R.E. will release his fourth solo album, "One Fan a Day," Dec. 21 via Thugged Out/Roc-A-Fella. | Mariah's show in Japan postponed
According to Pia, one of the biggest ticket company in Japan, Mariah was scheduled to do a show in Japan at Saitama Super Arena on December 26th. This show was supposed to start at 7pm and the ticket prices for seats were 10500yen and 9450yen. You could start buying the tickets from November 27th. There were also rumors that Mariah would be doing a show in Fukuoka at the Marine Messe Fukuoka on December 20th. Mariah did a show there at Marine Messe Fukuoka for the Charmbracelet Tour last year. But, Ayako from PIP and POW, just called Frontier Music (Japan company) which is the promoter and asked about Mariah's show in Japan and they told her that the show has been postponed. They said that the show will probably be held right after new year. Ayako also asked what kind of concert it was going to be, but they said that the details of the show hasn't been decided yet. Mariah Seen in Chicago 
Frank Jeffery sent in an email, recounting his meeting with Mariah at the O’Hare Airport in Chicago last night, October 12th. Here’s what Frank wrote: A friend of mine who must remain anonymous tipped me off that Mariah was arriving with her manager, personal assistant, and body guard at Chicago's O’Hare airport Tuesday night. I was the only fan waiting for her as she exited the escalator leaving the arrival gate. When she was comfortably paused, I approached her. She was very cool with me as she filled my request for an autograph and picture. This was my second time meeting Mariah (first at Harpo studio's Oprah Show pre-tape rehearsal for the "Heartbreaker" performance with DaBrat and Missy). I asked her if she would remember the instance of us meeting but cut my story short and concluded "of course you don't remember me....", she giggled. She said "the new stuff will be out soon", I then told her I've been a fan since I saw her on 'Apollo' fourteen years ago. She then said "well don't say that too loud... we don't want anyone knowin' about no fourteen years ago" then snickered. There was a limo for Mariah and her manager, etc., and an S.U.V. just for her luggage! I asked if she was in town on business and she said that a close family member had passed away. I later learned that her Grandmother has passed on and she was in fact here for that reason. My condolences to Mariah and her family. Sammy is the fan who met Trey on Labor Day, here's what he wrote on FOMM: "The songs sounded midtempo in the vein of "The One" or "Breakdown". At the time I didn't question the title 'cause I coudn't believe Trey Lorenz was standing in front of me singing exclusive tracks. First off I had to prove that I was a real fan, by quoting obscure tracks and such, then I realized how nice he was and it made me fall back a little and when he sang to me, I melted. On Labor Day weekend, Sammy from NYC attended a barbecue where Trey Lorenz was also a guest. When he asked Trey about the album, he sang parts of two songs: "Stay the Night" and "If I Should Be Your Girl", which might be the same song "Yur Girl" that everyone has been talking about recently. Trey said that many of the songs are featuring live instrumentals like "Subtle Invitation" and that many of the songs are a similar tempo to "Subtle Invitation" as well. A funeral service has been held for a British soldier killed in Iraq while trying to rescue injured comrades. Gunner David Lawrence, 25, of the 1st Regiment Royal Horse Artillery, died alongside Corporal Marc Taylor near Basra on September 28. The soldier's coffin was draped in the Union flag and bearing a regimental cap and a single wreath. | Williams Desperate To Apologise To Aguilera
British chart-topper Robbie Williams is desperate to make peace with Christina Aguilera after slamming her in his autobiography. The Rock DJ star made some less that complimentary remarks about the Dirrty singer in his book Feel and now regrets allowing them to be published. The 30-year-old wrote in his book, "She looks like a cross between someone in a gay club at six in the morning and someone's who's trying to save trees." Now that he spends most of his time in America, Williams is trying to make amends, "I deeply regret criticising her. I hope a personal letter can mend bridges between us." Williams may have been bearing a slight grudge against Aguilera at the time of writing because she turned down the opportunity to duet with him. In this week Room 101 Paul Merton interviewed Ronan Keating. When talking about Ronan Keating's pet peeves, Mariah was mentioned. Ronan said he hated people with large entourages, and one of the examples he used was Mariah & Whitney at the MTV Europe Awards a few years back when they were held in Ireland. He said one demanded a red room & the other a white room to out do each other. Paul Merton also mentioned that "Mariah doesn't do stairs" and that one of her backstage ryders was that she stroked a kitten before she went on stage. Original American Idol runner-up Justin Guarini has decided to part ways with Benny Medina - because the manager was more focused on taking care of Mariah Carey's needs. Guarini, who has struggled to stay in the spotlight since losing out to Kelly Clarkson in 2002's first season of the talent contest, had been working with Medina, former manager of Jennifer Lopez, but later decided it was better to part ways. He says, "Originally Benny and I had tried a bit of a tentative working relationship, but at the end of day it didn't work out. "He had his priorities, and he's been focusing a lot on Mariah. People don't know him very well, sadly he's not that popular in Belgium, except in some selected Hip Hop clubs. Scram Jones is one of Hip Hop's fastest rising producers (he is best known for producing Terror Squad's smash hit "Yeah, Yeah, Yeah, Lloyd Banks' "Work Magic" and is currently producing tracks for Xzibit and Mariah Carey's upcoming LP's) and was recently profiled for his production prowess by XXL Magazine. There's something strange with the Death of a Dynasty DVD, if you didn't already order it, wait a few days, until this mystery is solved. Camaroprincess24 received the DVD yesterday and watched it last night, and... Mariah doesn't appear in the movie ,
also not only Mariah disappeared but a lot of the cameo appearances too.
There are several possibilities: - The fan missed Mariah (which is almost impossible). - IMDB messed up almost the entire cast credit (wich is almost impossible too). - There has been legal issues with the record companies of the celebrities featured in the movie for the DVD release (which is possible). - IF there has been legal issues, then the UK distributor of the DVD (ILC Prime) messed up by forgetting to sent the infos to the stores and on-line stores (which is possible too). - And certainly others I can't think to right now. Some of you e-mailed me , asking if "Yur", the way it's written in this new track was a mistake or another way to write "Your" or "You're", which if you ask me guys, makes no sense. I'm not really an expert in Rap/Urban vocabulary, but as I'm more and more involved in this kind of music, I know it means either, "yes" or "sup" in the Urban world. But hey, I have no proof that "Yur" has this meaning on this track. It's just my thoughts .

| The dumbness of some people is out of limit
It's been a while ago that a fan made a so called instrumental version of "Stay The Night". He posted it first on FOMM (if Kinou remember it correctly it was Dom ), then a fan site posted it, then another messageboard and so on. Now, another fan site posted it as an official promo track. I didn't listened to it, as I never download commercial stuffs or stuffs from an upcoming single or album, but I have been told it's the same track which was made up by the fan on FOMM and suddenly became an instrumental promo on a fan site a week later. When will we see this very rare promo on eBay? .
