This year, there will not be a special Heroes of Mariah Halloween either, again I saw enough freaks and horrors among the medias and even some fans this year to make it Halloween everyday .  From some medias, I can eventually admit it, they are so dumb, but from fans....

The son of Reggae Sunsplash founder, Tony Johnson and his company, Junction have teamed with BWPresents, Bill Walker and Morgan Carey, of Digital Riddims Inc to illuminate the historic brand, most often associated with the timeless performances of pioneers, Bob Marley, Gregory Isaacs, Steel Pulse, Stevie Wonder and so many other legendary superstars.

Reggae Sunsplash music festivals 2009-2010 will feature chart-topping mainstream superstars and be a virtual who's who in Reggae Music. Some of the artistes who have been invited include, Mariah Carey, Lenny Kravitz, No Doubt, Sly and Robbie, Burning Spear, Willie Nelson, and Half Pint. The show's producers, in the interests of honouring the History of Sunsplash, have brought on The Original Wailers who will be jamming with surprise celebrity guests, and backing up headliners as well. The support of several key stations throughout Florida has already been secured and record breaking attendance is anticipated.

Their third idea?
"It takes a little imagination here," Carey tells Ray. "I would be chocolate chip cookies. 
"It's just like a two-piece little number, and it's made out of the chocolate chip cookie fabric," she says. "Then you have actual cookies sewn on." (Mariah please, can we get pictures?)

And is Cannon a glass of milk then, Ray asks.
"He made this up and he was only kidding, but I liked it," says Carey, adding, "he would be a milk carton with a missing sign over his head." 

Carey and Cannon wed this past April in a hush-hush ceremony in the Bahamas.

Was it hard for Cannon, 28, to get up the courage to ask Carey, 39, out?
Not really.
He always told reporters she was his celeb crush.

"He feels like he spoke us into existence," Carey tells Ray. "Backstage at an award show, I said, 'Thanks for all the nice things you have been saying about me!' and he said he meant every word of it.

"That was our first introduction," the singer says, "and when we were doing the video ("Bye Bye"), it just seemed like we knew each other forever."

Though the "TRL" finale is still weeks away, the celebration of the show's history is already revving up. Throughout the course of the month, MTV.com and MTV News will feature special retrospective countdowns and give fans a look back at the best moments from the show's decade-long run.

Mariah Carey
I feel like Mariah is loosening up, finding herself again. This is a woman who makes amazing albums. She got panned for “Glitter,” but she was just taking a stab at her “8 Mile,” “Purple Rain” and “Xanadu.” With “The Emancipation of Mimi” she figured out how to dig back into songs and jams and not overdo it vocally. Her pride probably got hurt, she had something to prove, she went nah, watch this, I’m going to emancipate myself — and the record demonstrated this. “E = MC2” (Island) is a very sexy, cool record. She’s funny, the beats are great, a lot of slow jams. She’s not a pop star; she writes her own stuff, and she really collaborates. Her sampling ideas are well informed; she’s very involved in her recording process. Her records are masterpieces.

The firm, led by partners Benny Medina and Jeff Pollack, has boasted such high-profile clients over the years as Jennifer Lopez, Tyra Banks, Mariah Carey, Kyra Sedgwick, Mekhi Phifer, Usher, Chris Rock, Will Smith, Sean "Puffy" Combs, Kenneth "Babyface" Edmonds and Nicole Richie.

However, most of those clients have parted ways with the company, with Banks and Usher exiting within the past year. Reports surfaced last month that Carey was the latest to exit the company, but statements from the singer and manager reportedly indicated that, while Handprint would not be managing Carey, the parties would still be working on projects together.

Calls to Handprint for comment were not returned.

And although rumors swirled all day, his wife, Mariah Carey, never showed up to the party Cannon hosted and DJ'd in the space that used to be Skybar. 

Nick took to the turntables just before 11 p.m. sporting a black "Barack the Vote" t-shirt. He kept crowd happy playing everything from Lil' Wayne's A Mille and Snoop Dogg's Ain't No Fun, to Nirvana's Smells Like Teen Spirit and Guns N' Roses' Sweet Child o' Mine. 

At all times, two bodyguards on each side flanked the star.  Cannon is on a national tour DJing for BlackBerry, but working the decks is a relatively new passion.

Cannon now spins once a month in Las Vegas for the Pure Management Group, which owns Pure, LAX and the Christian Audigier nightclubs. 

Although Cannon kept the party keyed up, most people seemed fixated on catching a glimpse of his wife, who was napping in their room at the hotel.

One bubbly guest huddled up close to the DJ stand exclaimed to her friends: "Did you hear there's a secret celebrity guest? It's going to be Mariah Carey!"

But the closest the crowd got to Carey was the end of Cannon's set, when he played five of her songs in a row. 

It served as a clever kind of inside joke, a winking way to close the set. 

Just after 1 a.m., Cannon's entourage ushered him out of the party efficiently. Graham said they were taking off to New York City that night.

Police sorting stories in domestic disturbance
1900 block of North Ruddell Street — A woman told police that she was asleep and awakened to find singer Mariah Carey had broken into her house and was hitting her in the head. 

The woman said a man was also in her apartment cursing. The singer threatened to kill her and her family, she reported, and continued to beat her. 

The woman said she knocked the singer out and the man slung her over his shoulder and carried her away.

The track registered 286,000 downloads last week, according to Billboard, the highest figure for a female artist since Nielsen SoundScan began tracking downloads in 2003.

"Womanizer" edged out Mariah Carey's "Touch My Body," the previous record holder, by just 200 downloads, Billboard noted. It's the first single from Spears' forthcoming "Circus" album, due Dec. 2.

Wait, I'm not saying that young girl didn't dream to meet Mariah, but her dream was also to meet Céline Dion which she accomplished by performing on stage with her 2 weeks ago at Madison Square Garden.  David Foster says: "Charice is on her way to superstardom, Oprah is determined she will be a superstar".
And when Oprah is determined....

Like I said the real little fan gets to sit at Mariah's table, Steve and Elaine Wynn's grand-daughter was with her favorite singer (Mariah) as a birthday surprise.

Then, Ryan asked Nick how old he is and then he says 28 and Ryan: "you know what I hear, I hear a baby bell". Nick says he wants to hear that bell too. So Ryan asks if they're thinking about it or trying and Nicks says it's something they need to plan as they have crazy schedules, so it may maybe be sometime in 2009.

Although a first single hasn't been selected yet, some of the-Dream's favorite cuts include the '60s-inspired "You Aint Sh*t"; "Fancy," about a girl who wants to live the glamorous life; rhythmic/pop track "Right Side of My Brain"; "Make Love to Me," which he describes as a "good ol' baby-making record"; and "Kelly's 12 Play," inspired by R. Kelly's debut album. Mariah Carey guests on "My Love."

But if the-Dream had his way, Def Jam would wait until "around Valentine's Day" to release "Love vs. Money." The reason is not only a sultry sound that fits the lovers' holiday, but also because the group Electric Red, signed to his joint venture with Def Jam, Radio Killa Records, is slated to release its album "Electric Love" around the same time.

Last night Mariah Carey hosted a birthday party at Pure at Caesars for husband, Nick Cannon. Then neither of them showed up. Well, they arrived but not on the day listed on the press release for the event, Tuesday, Oct. 7. Instead, according to a photographer who chose to wait for Ms. Carey, she finally arrived early this morning (Oct. 8) at about 12:30. Unlike me, most of the photographers arrived expecting to wait on the singer (no one seemed all that interested in her husband, birthday or not). The reason: these were mostly the same photographers she had kept waiting at a nightclub appearance this weekend at Bank at the Bellagio. And, then the diva further irked the photographers by posing on the carpet for a very short time. The photographers also did not like how she posed.

Media photographers may sound like a fussy bunch (and, they can be), but remember they have deadlines, families and are people working late into the night. They do not get to enter the nightclub; they get no further than shooting the red carpet, and then they head off to send out the photos, before finishing their night. So, after being kept waiting they felt especially aggrieved not to have enough opportunity to get a good shot of Carey at Bank for all their patience. Remember these are not stalking paparazzi like those who linger in front of restaurants in L.A. These photographers were invited and encouraged to cover Carey's appearances at Bank and Pure. And, they were given times to be there. Indeed, for Pure last night, they were asked to check in at 10:30 for arrivals at 11. So, those who waited until when she arrived yesterday were left waiting for two hours before they got their photograph of Carey.

None of the print people who showed up last night were bothering to stand at the front with the photographers. No one had any expectation she would do interviews. Why were writers there then ready to hold an interview they know they won't get? It was Tuesday night and there was nothing else going on with a celebrity in her league that could yield a story.

Still, treating celebrity hosting like it is beneath her is the diva way; it speaks volumes that she both still does the work of multiple hosting gigs and also the offers to do so keep coming no matter when she arrives. And, the photographers were mostly willing (indeed, required) to wait as they needed that shot of her. For the freelancers their evenings' pay depended on a photo of Carey.

The nightclub world is a complex anthropology of degrees of VIP services. One starting point for that division at Pure is the general admission and the separate, though almost as long, VIP line.  I decided to use the free time supplied by awaiting Carey's ultimate escorted VIP entrance to talk to the last person in the general admission line that wrapped around the club.

After some walking, I found the last person in line was Matt, 21, from Orlando. He wasn't even here for Carey, just to check out Pure. "I'll wait as long as it takes. We bought VIP tickets. We waited in the VIP line already and then they sent us over here." But of course VIP tickets don't mean you are a VIP in the sense that you wait in the VIP line. Doesn't everyone know that?

So, at 11 the daring thought hit me and I shared it with my media colleagues. Why don't I walk out on Mariah Carey if she is too late? She is working as a host and I am working as a reporter; how long before she is too late for work for me to waste more of my work time on  waiting for her? Further, she is the host of a party she does not bother to get to early enough to greet her guests? Rude. And, if she can't get excited enough to rush to her husband's birthday party with him why should anyone else, especially me? I never heard of the guy. 

So, why was I there? Well, like everyone else, it was Tuesday night and there wasn't any other celebrity of her magnitude in the offing. But there is no reason her time is more valuable than mine; there are limits. And, so we waited out Tuesday; then Buffet photographer Sarah Gerke shot the empty red carpet Carey had yet to walk around midnight, and we left without looking back.

Hey, Mariah Carey, you aren't worth waiting for. And, I spell my name A-B-O-W-I-T-Z. Wow, I like being a diva.

The actor – who Deejayed during his bash Tuesday night at Pure Nightclub in Las Vegas – took time to give a "shout out to my beautiful wife in the building." 

Carey held court at a VIP table next to Cannon's deejay booth, where the soon-to-be 28-year-old spun rock and hip hop for nearly three hours. 

Later, she arranged for a birthday cake to be brought out for her husband-of-five-months. "Thank you, my love," he said into the microphone. "We about to take this to the next level!" 
The two have staying at the Bellagio since Saturday, when they arrived in Vegas to shoot Carey's new music video. (Cannon directed the clip for her single, "I Stay in Love.") 

Tuesday night kicked off with a private dinner at Rao's, where Cannon and Carey noshed on lemon chicken and meatballs. "They were very sweet with each other," said a source. Nick, inspired by the Italian cuisine, also boasted that he makes "a great clam sauce."

Nick takes center stage Tuesday night at the Pure nightclub in Caesars Palace, where he'll celebrate his birthday and also spin as guest DJ. Fans had been hoping that Mariah, who hosted her own bash at the Bank nightclub next door in the Bellagio this past weekend, would stay on for her husband's celebration.

The new private dining room at Rao's seats just 15 people, so Mariah and Nick brought three of their assistants for a hush-hush dinner away from prying eyes. They feasted on Rao's classics, including antipasto, Uncle Vincent's lemon chicken and Aunt Anna's famous pasta and meatballs.

My spies who caught the VIP group put to rest any rumors of Mariah's rumored pregnancy as she sipped on a glass of Insignia through dinner.

The sexiest nightlife destination in all of Sin City, The Bank will also serve as backdrop for Carey’s latest music video, “I Stay in Love” as her husband Nick Cannon directs the epic today. 

With a welcome worthy of a true diva, Mariah Carey arrived last night hand-in-hand with Nick Cannon to hundreds of screaming fans.  As Carey made her way onto the red carpet, the screeching crowd reached a feverish pitch with fans jumping on slot machines to catch a better glimpse. 
After posing for the dozens of paparazzi shooters and a horde of onlookers, Carey headed into The Bank to host the evening, again hand-in-hand with her man.  As Carey made her entrance into the posh club, the packed house erupted. 

Prior to The Bank, Mariah and hubby Nick enjoyed a sensational dinner at Yellowtail Sushi Restaurant & Bar.  The couple was joined by six of their friends and were seated at a window-side table overlooking the iconic Bellagio fountains.  While Carey, sipping Pinot Grigio, chose to dine only on miso soup (sans tofu) along with tuna sashimi, Cannon and friends experienced the innovative dishes by award winning executive chef Akira Back such as the Popping Spicy Crab Rolls (an imaginative twist on the traditional Japanese dish – a dynamic layer of Pop Rocks candy is added to the roll to ignite your taste buds!)  Back personally welcomed Carey to  Yellowtail Sushi Restaurant & Bar and after briefly posing for a few photos, Carey recalled actually meeting Back before when he prepared her meal while he was executive chef at Nobu in Aspen, prior to his joining The Light Group to open Yellowtail Sushi Restaurant & Bar.
