Michael Jackson to record "From The Bottom Of My Heart" in London It appears Michael Jackson has chosen the UK as the place to re-launch his career, with the singer planning to record a charity song for victims of Hurricane Katrina in a London studio. The troubled singer will be performing on the song, entitled ‘From The Bottom Of My Heart’ alongside The Godfather Of Soul, The Hardest Working Man In Showbusiness, Soul Brother Number One, Mr James Brown, reports The Sun. Also featured on the track will be Jay-Z, Missy Elliott, Mariah Carey and Mary J Blige. The paper's source said: "Michael wants to release it within the next fortnight. He can't wait to visit London. He's always had incredible support from fans in England and admires the top producers there." It’s rumoured that the song will be recorded within the next two weeks. Carey And Michael To Duet Pop superstars Mariah Carey and George Michael are in talks to record a duet together. The singers met backstage at the London Live 8 gig in July and Carey was delighted when Michael asked her to collaborate with him. A music industry source says, "This is a very big deal. George doesn't do many duets, they're usually with big legends like (sir) Elton John and Aretha Franklin, but he loves Mariah's work." In a WORLD EXCLUSIVE K9 Magazine interview, the world's top selling female artist of all time reveals how her adored Jack Russell has an obsession with water. The singer, who's string of hits have made her one of the world's most successful artists ever, tells K9 Magazine how Jack - or Jackson P Muttley, to give him his full title - is always ready and willing to join Mariah at bath or shower time: "Jack is a swimmer so he gets obsessed with anything to do with water even if I’m taking a shower he’ll try to knock on the door and come and stand in the shower.  If I’m running a bath all of a sudden I’ll hear a splash and Jack will have jumped into the tub! More artists announced for Fashion Rocks Blondie, Carey and David to rock Monaco Mariah Carey and Blondie will be among the stars bringing even more glamour to Monaco with the Fashion Rocks concert next month (17OCT05). "Get Your Number" in Belgium - The song will debut on radio next week in the Dutch speaking part of Belgium and the week after in the French speaking part, this is due to the very good airplay "We Belong Together" still has in the French speaking part. - The video will start on Belgian TV channels in about 10 days. - "Get Your Number" will be commercially released by the end of October and only as a cardboard sleeve single, stores here in Belgium don't want maxi-singles anymore, or at least the less possible. - The song is highly expected by the Belgian radios and it seems they are impatient to play the song, some radios even started to play the song now. Mariah Carey's doggy bath Mariah Carey has revealed her dog shares her bath. The sexy singer says her pampered pooch, Jack, always jumps in when she's running a bath. She admitted: "If I'm running a bath all of a sudden I'll hear a splash and Jack will have jumped into the tub. It's something that has been happening for ages - it's like, 'It's like Jack is in the tub again, swimming around. '" Mariah claims the Jack Russell also loves jumping into her hot tub. She is quoted by Scotland's Daily Record newspaper as saying: "His favourite toy is a jet - like the ones you find in pools and hot-tubs. Finally I returned from yet another trip to Los Scandalous where I finished Mariah’s making of the video show for her new double A-side single Shake it off / Get your number – you’ve gotta watch your MTV schedules for it. It's hot tamale! Oh yeah!!!! On the last day my diva observations took on a whole new dimension as I witnessed MC's pooch, Jack, getting a massage from MC's private masseuse..... ahhh the life of a star doggie!  While I was in the studio with MC I saw Hovi Baby (or president Shawn Carter, as he likes to be known now) get on the Shake it off remix with Young Jeezy – who was getting enough afflatus from his mentor Jigga. It’s stone “hood-osity” !!!!!!!!!!!!! Caliente! It was so exciting watching them all lay vocals down. Wow. That’s all I can say.  Another wow moment was when Jacko called MC to ask her to join him on his Hurricane Katrina single. Listening to the ‘oh so casual’ convo between superstars is Heat magazine in motion!  Speaking of which, the hip-hop community has really stepped up to the plate with all the big names – including Mariah – donating a lot of big cheques to help (MC didn't want me to mention that bit but I feel strongly that you should know that the stars do a lot of charity stuff). Carey wins poker contest Superstar Mariah Carey won $27,000 (GBP15,000) playing poker in Las Vegas, Nevada, on Friday (23SEP05). The Honey singer joined Usher, Janet Jackson and Nelly for producer Jermaine Dupri's 33rd birthday party at the opening of Tao restaurant at the Venetian Hotel. Mariah calls in in favor of Jack For the second year in a row, controversy reigns at the Relly Awards, as Regis Philbin again is shut out in the "Best Regis" category -- again at the hands of a "Saturday Night Live" veteran.  This year, comedian and actor Jimmy Fallon took home the prestigious "Best Regis" Golden Stool. Philbin accepted the award on behalf of the absent Fallon, but shocked the Relly audience by reading a purported letter from Fallon, essentially passing the award to Philbin.  The document later was revealed to be a fraud.  After the broadcast, Philbin asserted that "Next year will be the year that REGIS is 'Best Regis'!" In another shocking twist, porcine princess Miss Piggy eked out a win in the "Best Non-Human Guest" category, triumphing over such competition as Mariah Carey's dog Jack, "Star Wars" superstar Chewbacca and Barney the Purple Dinosaur.  Singing superstar Carey attempted to call in during the Relly taping to express her disappointment over Jack being passed over in favor of the popular pig. For the opening of Tao Las Vegas at the hotel this weekend, owners Marc Packer and Rich Wolf have joined forces with Marquee to create Marquee Tao Las Vegas. Though Jackson states that he is constantly working on the single, which he had announced on September 6th and wants to contact artistes within days and record it in two weeks. The Spokespersons for R. Kelly, Jay-z, Wyclef Jean, Mariah Carey and Lauryn Hill state that none of them have been contacted and have not yet agreed to participate! Missy Elliott’s Representative said that though Jackson and Elliott have held discussions regarding the single, they have not yet reached any concrete agreement!  Other spokespersons of various artistes could not be contacted!  Jackson’s Spokesperson Raymone Bain – who confirmed participation of these artistes, also was not available for comments!  When Jackson announced plans for a benefit song for the victims of the 9/11 terror attacks four years back. A close friend of the star tells us: "Mariah's always been fond of the UK, but since her career's taken off again she's had the chance to visit several times in a year. And each time she's got back to the US, she's been sad. "Mariah loves Britain's history and culture and finds everyone so polite. And she thinks the English countryside is stunning - particularly around Oxfordshire. That's where she's asked the estate agents to concentrate their search." Jasmine's juice By Jasmine Dotiwala So this past four weeks I’ve been ping-ponging between continents; from Italy, to New York to LA (twice). I’ve clocked up the air-miles and the saggy, wrinkly, no-sleep skin and worked my butt off (which isn’t a good thing as I’ve not enuff butt to spare!)  This week saw me at Mariah’s Making Of The Video shoot for her 3rd international single, which is a double A-side: Get Your Number / Shake It Off. So I land at LAX airport, MC’s driver picks me up and informs me I have an hour to get ready to accompany her to the World Music Awards! Whoa! See, this is why my suitcase is always overloaded with extra garms, for impromptu occasions such as this. I pulled out one of my classy frocks and slipped into it on the car ride back to MC’s Bel Air mansion where we jumped into her car and sped off to the infamous Kodak Theatre and her backstage dressing room, where we spent the next... wait for it... 7 hours!  As the World Music Awards are not live they take an age to record, so MC’s dressing room luckily was the ONLY place to be. After the first knock on the door, security inform us that L.A Reid and Jay-Z ‘President’s Reid and Carter’ were at the door waiting to say hi to Mariah. Both looking dapper in slick button down shirts and blazers, Jay looking particularly slimline (Beyoncé must have him on a new healthy life-regime), they congratulated her on her current reign at the top of the charts and hung out with us till there’s another knock on the door... it’s Snoop Dogg with his huge team of 9-year-old soccer players (cute!) who also came to “pay homage to his sister”. Then there’s a third knock, by now I’m excited as 50 in a candy store… who could be next? It’s Stevie Wonder’s team come to request Mariah come and say hi to Stevie who’s in next doors dressing room. STEVIE WONDER!  I think I might faint as I take in all the legends surrounding me as MC introduces me as her “surrogate sister!”  It was all I could do not to beg for a group photo, but the memory will live with me till I’m 100 years old! Oh yeah! I’m gonna live till then! Then it was time to work as MC stepped out to perform her current hits in a show-stopping shorts-and-headband number which saw Beyoncé who was in the front row of the audience (with her boo Jay) be the first to stand and give her a standing ovation, leading the rest of the arena to stand and applaud rapturously too. Then MC went on to win four World Music Awards – one was handed to her by her mate Snoop – and each accompanied by a standing ovation. We then watched as Usher, Amerie and Patti Labelle performed a tribute to honor Destiny’s Child before riding home at 3am.  We were up early next morning for MC’s video shoot where Hackney-born British director Jake Nava had her performing.  We finished filming at 3am, then had a late dinner delivered by Mr Chow’s before finally getting to bed at 5am. An hour later, from my room on the other side of MC’s Bel Air home where I was tucked up in bed, I heard moaning coming from MC’s room. I found my girl doubled up in pain so severe I was horrified!  A doctor confirmed it was food poisoning and MC was forced to stay in bed, postponing the video shoot. Mariah featured on upcoming benefit album Russell Simmons is working with his Hip-Hop Summit Action Network to put together an entire album — The Hip-Hop Summit Action Network Presents: Forces of Nature — to benefit the survivors of Hurricane Katrina. Simmons said the idea came to him two days ago but that already the number of songs pledged is "mind-boggling." "The outpouring of heart from the community is unprecedented," he said. "I'm getting a record from Mariah Carey. Puffy has said he's working on one, I hope I get that. He's has a gospel record I'm trying to get him to give me. ... Snoop. Kanye West. I got a Reverend Run record that will knock your brain out. ... Most of the songs are about healing. Everybody has been supportive. No one has turned us down. Mariah gives out her number Mariah Carey has admitted that she gives out her phone number too easily, but says she would never ask for a guy’s number.  The singer was talking to MTV News on the set of her new video, Get Your Number, which she wrote with Jermaine Dupri. Several cable outlets have also signed up to air the show, including E!, Bravo, CNBC, CourtTV, Lifetime, Showtime, Style Network, TBS and USA; the concert will also air on radio stations and be streamed online, including AOL, Yahoo and Real.com.  A total of 13 musical acts, including Neil Young and Mariah Carey, will perform from two venues: The Sony Pictures Studio in Los Angeles and Sony Studios in New York (W. 54th Street).
